Kunal is a filmmaker-photographer with over 7 years of experience in Ad Films, Documentaries, Film Festivals, TV & Digital Media.

​

Offering boutique creative and production services, Kunal strongly believes that good stories make an Impact and good stories when told well, genuinely alter lives. He enjoys weaving together the two disciplines of – Great Art and Good Business.

As Director’s Assistant to Filmmaker-Archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur at Dungarpur Films and Film Heritage Foundation, Kunal has prepared pitch decks, managed creatives, production, logistics and on ground co-ordinations.

​

Beyond producing promotional films and branded content, he has worked on prestigious projects like the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Visual History Programme - documenting the works and complete lives of filmmakers and cinema personalities like Mr. Ramesh Sippy, Mr. Shyam Benegal, Mr. Saeed Akhtar Mirza, Phalke family and many more; developing, programming & organizing various Film Festivals & Screenings like Olympics in Reel Life - A Festival of Films and Photographs, Bachchan - Back to the Beginning, Dilip Kumar - Hero of Heros, Dev Anand@100 - Forever Young, Mahal (1949) - a screening on 35mm celluloid print, Zeenat Aman - Rewind to Don (1978); organizing educational workshops like Biennial Audio-Visual Archival Summer School 2023; Film Projection in Practice Workshop 2023 & Film Preservation & Restoration Workshop India 2022.

He has also worked on the development of Sony Television’s prime time show ‘Family Time with Kapil Sharma’; as a digital content developer & video producer has produced over 2,300 videos for the consumer brand Nestlé; and has also co-created the YouTube Channel ‘Meena’s Home’ with videos aggregating in many million views.​

 

Kunal has a Bachelor's Degree in Arts specializing in Film, Television and New Media Production from the University of Mumbai and has also pursued a Summer Programme from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

 

He does not discriminate between tea and coffee or dogs and cats, is an avid reader, an ardent cinephile, a marathon runner & a rookie football player.
